Josh Marshall has a good
item calling for drawing the line on Social Security, and suggesting a test case. This strikes me as a project made for dKos. Here's the story.
Marshall is proposing that the Democratic party excommunicate any and all Representatives who sign on to privitization. Which I would agree is a good idea.
Now a Democratic Representative, Allen Boyd of Florida, has come out for the President's "plan." So, Marshall asks, what money groups are going to pull their support from Boyd? Who's going to run against him in the primary? Let's get moving on this!
Since Marshall doesn't have a comment section, I thought this would be a good place to gather information. What's up with Boyd'd district? How can we make an example of him? (And indeed, should we?)
