I was so intrigued by the diaries posted earlier this week about "framing" and its realtionship to political speech.
For a long time, I've pictured various people -- Murdoch for example -- going to parties in DC and bragging that by using FOX he had so many milion zombies in his pocket, and could make them vote as he pleased.
How easily people surrender their vote (something valuable) for something cheap (mesmerizing programming on cable TV.) They do this unknowingly, though a naieve and unthinking earnestness. Pretty amazing. extremely sobering. At least its good to learn something about how it's done.
