Why does it take the RNC chairman (on NPR's Day to Day) to make the point that the electorate is pretty evenly divided as is the electoral college, and that any person who gets the nomination of one of the two major parties will be a formidable challenger? In doing so he refuted the interviewer (I forget who it is) who claimed that "many" democrats are saying that Dean is unelectable (of course the "many" are never named).
Why does the RNC head have to be the one to make the point that any Dem. who wins the nomination is electable? Shouldn't Terry Mac have put this talking point to rest a while ago?
