NY Times reports that Dean's back ailment -- the one that kept him out of the Vietnam War -- wasn't so bad and Dean admits he could have served.

I'm a Democrat who sees all those wonderful shots of Bush in a flight jacket and commericials questioning where he was when he was suppose to be flying National Guard missions going away because we pick someone who makes Bush look like a hero for doing some kind of service.
This guy is a diaster. If I was a Republican I'd be poppin' the cork right now cause he's making this a breeze for the Chimp.
I know there are alot of Dems out there who were anti-Vietnam War, and that's fine (I'm one of them) but to take a potentially good issue, like Bush's Chicken Hawk past and throw it away because we pick a draft dodger just isn't smart.
When will the Dems get pragmatic?
Dean gets this nomination there is no chance of taking back WVA. We won't be able to sway Ohio, and PA could fall. You Dean supporters are marching right into a firing squad -- which would be OK except that you are taking the country with you.
