Yesterday Staples announced that on Jan. 10th they will pull their advertising from the local news shows on Sinclair stations (which are the most egregious shows). This is a real victory and shows that the Sinclair boycott has real potential. But we can't sit back and relax. We can't be impatient. We have to be as patient as Cesar Chavez was.
Please keep up the pressure. I suspect that most of the companies that bailed during the Stolen Honor period have quietly started advertising again...which is fine since our original actions were targeting Stolen Honor (except mine which also brought up an anti-Semetic comment by their VP which was condemned by the anti-defamation league). So Staples is really the first company I know of to pull out because of the overall bias. More below.
Please look over the list shown on the following link and pick as many companies as you are comfortable with. Then write them letters frequently. Boycott them. Patronize their rivals. Keep up the pressure.

(or go to the following for a "top ten" list:

Today I picked General Mills (because my family has since Stolen Honor managed to eliminate all General Mills products from our purchases), Subway (because I have started to occasionally patronize a Quiznos right next door to a Subway as a way of boycotting Subway) and YUM (Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell) (because I can tell them I favor local pizzarias and Mexican restaurants and Popeye's as alternatives). I wrote each of them. Tomorrow I may write some more.
Now that Staples has shown that someone is listening, can we please agree that the Sinclair boycott is a worthwhile action and start writing letters? Can you imagine what 1000 letters per day to a handful of companies would do?
Here is also a broader anti-Sinclair site (a collaboration between groups like Media Matters and MoveOn):

This site has a suggested list of advertisers to target at the bottom of the page (with Staples crossed off!)
