Not surprising after yesterday's incident where
8 Ukrainian soldiers were killed.
Ukranian officials were planning on withdrawing their troops by the end of the year, but it looks like the withdrawal schedule is about to be hurried along.
Story here
Snip:
"President Leonid Kuchma on Monday ordered the foreign and defense ministers to develop a plan for withdrawing Ukraine's troops from Iraq within six months, the Interfax news agency reported.
Ukraine, whose 1,650 troops are the fourth-largest contingent in the U.S.-led military operation in Iraq, previously expressed intentions to withdraw this year, but Kuchma's reported order speeds up that timetable."
Let's see... 'coalition' partner #4 (size-wise) is now on it's way out.
Poland (#3) is leaving this year.
Britain (#2) has reduced their forces by around 85%.
We just increased our force level from 135,000 to 150,000.
Go figure.
