Warning: An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was Placed Here to Kill Travelers and Voters
How would you feel if you saw such a sign on the way to your local polling place? Like a person of color in Ohio?
A U.S. printing company "that specializes in Made In The USA production," New Hope, Minn.-based CLRB Hanson, produced 3,000 such signs for shipment to Iraq.
They didn't ship them to anti-election insurgents, who stand to gain the most by widespread distribution. They sent them to the U.S. Government, which paid for their printing.
Now why would the U.S. Government want to tell Iraqi citizens they are about to get blown to smithereens on the way to vote?
I don't know the answer to that. But I can guess. The U.S. Government clearly has a dog or two in the Iraqi elections race, and my guess is that the signs are evidence that coalition officials have adopted the "Ohio strategy," that is, suppress the vote selectively. Kurdish areas? Shi'ia districts?
What I do know is that Hanson Industries, LLC, d/b/a CLRB Hanson, the printing company, posted a news release heralding their work. The news release alerts us:
Collectors versions of the signs are available as well as mouse pads.
and...
Some of the signs have a unique "Glow in the Dark" technology.
and...
"Certainly this adds a new meaning to the words - Made In America'" said Tom Daher [not identified in the press release]. One must wonder what impact those signs will have on voter turn out."
Anyone have any ideas?
