Not kidding.
Earlier today, the AP reported that a soldier had been captured and would be killed in 72 hours unless the US released Iraqi prisoners. The story included a grainy photo of a stiff-legged African American figure seated in front of a black banner. CNN reported it as well.
Problem is, the captured soldier is an action figure. Apparently, someone posed the picture, then posted it with a typical terrorist-style death threat on a website, and the MSM fell for it.
How do I know? Why, our good friends at Fark.com, of course. (Note: I recommend you skim this thread before making any wisecracks. Because, damn, most of the good ones have been said already over there.)
