Lieberman is integral to the fight over Social Security.
He may not sell us down the river in the interest of a misguided "bipartisan" effort, but he is the ONLY Senate Democrat even REMOTELY likely to do this.
Without at least one Dem, Bush's soak the poor Social Security schemes die, because it lacks the veneer of bipartisan support.
We need someone, ANYONE to mount a challenge NOW.
Remember what happened with Ginny Schrader?
Her popular opponent dropped out, and she got tens of thousands of dollars in the next few days.
You know something, if someone announced their candidacy for the Democratic nomination for the Senate in 2006, and in the space of a few days, they got a similar amount of donations, I think that Joe would get the point.
Not one step back, or your opponent will be able to afford to chauffer his campaign staff around in Ermine trimmed limousines because so much money will flow in.
So, anyone know a likely suspect?
I don't care if it's a systems analyst in Middletown with no previous political experience.
We need to put the fear of God into "Holy Joe."
