Kossacks, I know this is "yesterday's news", but we should take a moment to really understand the way losers think. (I could put it more kindly and say how a "one-trick-pony thinks", but I suppose Mr. From has fully earned the designation of loser).
I am talking about his nonsensical, thoughtless bashing of Move On (and, for that matter, Michael Moore). There are many reasons why his outburst is not just comical but also trash talk, but I'm going to highlight the main reason why.
Think George Bush and Rush Limbaugh.
[More below the fold]
According to
MSNBC , From said the following, this week (emphasis mine):
You've got to reject Michael Moore and the MoveOn crowd
I suppose From is the CEO of the cottage industry inside the Democratic Party to bash MoveOn and Michael Moore, but this latest quote was particularly incendiary because he refers to the "crowd", not just Michael Moore and MoveOn themselves. Anyway, let me not nitpick.
Many of you likely know that From and some of his fellow DLCers have said such things before. For example, here's another quote from him:
We've got to repudiate, you know, the most strident and insulting anti-American voices out there sometimes on our party's left ... We can't have our party identified by Michael Moore and Hollywood as our cultural values.
I suppose we should give From some free speech leeway considering that Democrats are certainly allowed to bash Democrats. However, he deserves no leeway whatsoever for referring to other Democrats as anti-American. He also deserves no leeway for bashing other Democrats NOT using facts, but based on fake Republican talking points about Democrats. That alone makes it quite clear what Al From's motivations and interests are.
The reason why From's outburst is really interesting, though, is that this is a textbook case of how losers think and how the Democratic party's infestation with such losers has led it to a string of defeats against perhaps the worst American President in modern history.
The loser-think here is obvious to anyone who spends even 10 seconds on this topic.
Take Rush Limbaugh, a leading spokesman for the Right-wing.
Here are a few things we know about him.
- He dodged military service using the excuse of a boil in his butt (largely).
- He is a serial liar and fraud.
- He was an illegal-pill-popping drug addict - (which, incidentally, using IOKIYAR logic, automatically makes his past tirades against drug addicts applicable only to liberals and Democrats)
And just for kicks, here's his other claim to moral values, er. compassionate conservatism, er. whatever.
4. Three-time divorcee.
Suffice it to say, there's insufficient space here to write more. But, the point is this...
What does George Bush (and his administration) think about Rush Limbaugh?
Well...
Here:
Thank you, Rush. It's an honor to talk to you.

Rush Limbaugh Becomes Official Unpaid Advisor to Bush-Cheney '04
September 13, 2004
I made an official announcement to open the program today. I have become, and have been for a while, an official, unpaid advisor to the Bush-Cheney '04 campaign, and we decided to go public with this because there's no problem with it whatsoever.
Here:
Just one week after two Republican members of Congress repudiated remarks by radio host Rush Limbaugh (Limbaugh compared U.S. guards' abuse of Iraqi prisoners to a college fraternity prank and suggested that the U.S. guards involved were "blow[ing] some steam off"), Mary Matalin -- Bush-Cheney '04 campaign adviser, former assistant to President George W. Bush, and former counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney -- spoke as a guest on the May 21 broadcast of The Rush Limbaugh Show, calling Limbaugh her "hero"; mischaracterizing coverage in The New York Times; and telling Limbaugh that, from his show, "I get all the information I need."
...
MATALIN: This is a -- this is another reason you're my hero, of all the reasons. I have to read these papers every day because I have to do the defense to them?
RUSH: Yeah.
MATALIN: And it's not until I listen to you that I actually can crack a smile for the first time in the day.
...
Here:
WASHINGTON, Feb 17 (Reuters) - Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh is expected to visit Afghanistan with the top U.S. aid official to spotlight America's aid work there, officials said on Thursday.
Political commentator Mary Matalin, a former White House aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, will also be on the trip. She said she was not being paid to go and would pay her own way to Dubai but she believed the U.S. government would cover the cost of her visit to Afghanistan from there.
The Bush administration has come under sharp criticism for the Education Department's payment of $240,000 to conservative commentator Armstrong Williams to tout President George W. Bush's education plan.
Spokesmen for Limbaugh were not immediately available to comment.
"It's trying to get people to pay attention to all the good things we are doing in Afghanistan," a U.S. official who asked not to be named said of the trip, which is expected to take place next week. "This is just a different kind of outreach."

Vice President Cheney Participates in Radio Interview
Telephonic Interview of the Vice President by Rush Limbaugh
The Vice President's Office
1:10 P.M. EST
Q We are always happy to be able to talk to Vice President Dick Cheney who joins us now on the phone. Vice President Cheney, thank you for making time. It's great to have you with us once again.
THE VICE PRESIDENT: Well, thanks, Rush. It's good to talk to you.
I guess I could go on and on.
But my point is this: If Al From is truly a Democratic Leader he would be spending every living moment of his Democratic life bashing Rush Limbaugh, and the Bush administration for associating with Limbaugh -- rather than bashing MoveOn.org and Michael Moore, neither of whom were advisers to Kerry/Edwards, neither of whom were the recipient of fawning adoration or respect from Kerry/Edwards, and neither of whom can even remotely match - even in a million years - the vast and daily barrage of lies, fraud, bigotry, chicken-hawkism, and anti-American hatred that the Limbaughs of the world have institutionalized on American soil.
BOTTOMLINE
The Democratic Party has clearly demonstrated it has a big tent, and there are special places for losers in the tent. We should thank Mr. From for teaching us and our children how losers think.
Mr. From, may I take this opportunity to wish you the best of luck in bringing Democrats back to power with your kind of "insight" and "brilliance"?
