Today, an American was confermed as being Kidnapped in Iraq. His name has not been confirmed and the MSM media has been slow to report this story. While I know that these stories are fairly regular we haven't seen an American captured in awhile and I would have thought it would have been big News. After all he has appeared on Al-Jazeera.
Then I started wondering, why aren't we issueing strong statments for his release, why aren't we worried about his life, 2 things came to mind.
- Terry Dieing has taken the spot light. This is unfourtunate becasue this is a case of a real life or death struggle.
- He's Iraqi-American, someone who is American and speaks the language and left his home to make money working in a war zone. He has a family probly and they are worried sick.
Where is the support for this guy....CNN.com covered it but briefly.
Am I right in thinking that becasue he is Iraqi-American he has less tracktion in the media or am I crazy.
Maybe the last thing the family wants coverage and politicians asking for his release and thats why it's fairly quiet.....I don't know
