So if you're on Boxer's PAC mailing list, you received the following letter:
Dear Friend,
On May 1st, Senator Barbara Boxer's PAC for a Change will be making a $10,000 contribution to the 2006 re-election campaign of one of her Democratic colleagues ($5,000 for the primary election and $5,000 for the general election). And she wants our help to decide where to send it.
Today we can deliver a financial boost to the re-election efforts of one of the Democratic Senators who may well need our help the most, just as his or her campaign is getting underway.
Cast your vote for the Senator who should receive the next '06 campaign contribution from PAC for a Change here:

Thanks for your help!
If you didn't link, the choices are Nelson, Nelson, Conrad and Stabenow.
Wow. Tough choice. I ended up voting for Bill Nelson. First off, all four voted for the Rice nomination and the bankruptcy bill. Ben Nelson voted for Abu Gonzalez, plus he has no opposition to speak of, and thus holds a safe seat at this point in time. I think Stabenow has to be considered pretty safe as well. She hasn't done anything to P.O. her constituency, and re-election there is not as difficult once you've got one under your belt. Kent Conrad is a MUCH better public speaker than Daschle was (in S.D.), is much more of a populist, and because he brings home the bacon in the form of massive farm subsidies, is not in nearly as much danger as Daschle was. Unfortunately, he brings home the bacon in the form of massive farm subsidies, so I'm inclined to have the PAC support someone else.
Bill Nelson is probably in the toughest race, because Florida has perfected voter suppression techniques and the Republican bench is fairly deep. His votes on Rice and bankruptcy don't thrill me, but I think among the four races, this is the one needing the most shoring up.
