My first diary and I'm fragile from my day so be kind. Literally, he does feet!
Today I spent the day volunteering here in SF w/Project Homeless Connect - to read an overview of it -

Gavin was there almost all day running from doing press interviews to talking to the homeless people, and literally took a few turns washing peoples feet and giving them a nice little pedicure and some new socks. Sure, there were some photos taken, but he is out there all the time walking through the Tenderloin district and reaching out to people. Several of the clients I talked today commented that they see him all the time.
I can't even begin to tell you about the people I worked with today without bursting into tears.
I did notice however, that we had representatives from Philadelphia, Denver, San Diego, New York and Chatanooga (I think some others as well but I can't remember) coming to get info on the program and how they can take it back to their communities. I didn't actually hear Gavin say "Hey,sorry none of your city leaders were willing to support us last year when I tried to protect the civil rights of our gay citizesns, so sorry I don't want you guys to get help from us, you're on your own". He was just happy they were there and could hopefully take something positive back to their communities.
Now I know not ever single person in SF is behind this program, and I only have one request..show up June 3rd (the next outreach) and see it for yourselves.
