That's what this idiots seem to be. Their multisyllabol words and complex sentence structure would lead you to believe they know what they're talking about. Unless you compare their claims to reality than the whole thing breaks down. The memo contains nothing we didn't already know! Well yes, that's true for those who write such comments and for those who planned the Iraq adventure. So yes, thanks to the efforts of a few who knew better, the proper information did leak, but the press never picked it up.
Now, two years later those leaks seem to be the basis of the "everybody knew that" talking point. They repeated "not true, didn't happen, not true, didn't happen", and now it's "Duh, were have you been"? But the rest of America DID NOT know the real details. Whatever America may have insecurely felt they knew was whitewashed. And the whitewash was successful because most of us would like to believe that the government, our democratic machine, is driven by a combination of checks and balances and fueld with good intentions and a desire to continue the improvements to our culture. We do understand that some shenanigans happen, but most of us (including myself) struggle with believing that indeed, something very different is happening with this admin. This is not the small percentage of fraud or waste inherent in any multiperson business or organization. The very nature of this admin seems to be to find the loopholes in every advancement law ever passed in order to create market gaps.
I helped pick people to run the country because I cannot do my job, go to school, and run the country. But these people until recently screwed the job up so badly that now they must scurry to catch up if that's at all possible. Hat's off to Conyer, Boxer (who's autographed 8X10 I'd still like to get), and a few others who's name's pop up from time to time. But the rest of self serving morons need to go.
