I can't stand to listen to his voice. I don't want to discuss his lies. And I could use some new (good) recipes.
Hmmmm... what to do?
How `bout a recipe thread for those of us who don't want to pay any attention to Bush's half-assed attempt to avoid telling the truth about, well... anything.
Here's mine:
Crispy griddle-fried veggies
About (I use "about", "some", and other nebulous words a lot when I share my recipes) a pound of veggies. Tonight I used eggplant and zucchini sliced about one centimeter thick.
One egg.
A splash of milk
About half a cup of bread crumbs
About a quarter cup flour
A half teaspoon each of black and white pepper
Roughly a teaspoon of sea salt
And lots of big chunks of garlic
Get yer griddle heatin' with a good coating of olive oil.
Beat egg and milk together in a bowl and set aside.
Mix dry ingredients together on a plate.
When the griddle is hot, dip veggie slices in the egg/milk mixture and dredge through the dry stuff until nicely coated. Gently tap off extra dry stuff and carefully place coated veggies in the (now) hot oil.
Throw a generous handful of huge chunks of garlic (Tonight I used that mutant elephant stuff) in and amongst the frying veggie slices. After a couple of minutes, turn the veggies with your food-network-approved tongs. Stir the garlics around. When done (after a couple more minutes) place on a paper plate or other absorbent surface to soak up the excess oil. Serve with catsup. Heinz brand.
Simple but delicious.
