Here's a picture of a Republican Congressman trying to appeal to his right wing base ( which on Long Island, doesn't really exists ):
Pete King (R-NY)
Trying too hard to look relevant,
Simply looks old
This guy needs to go. Now he's writing letters to individual constituents telling them that they are wrong and that they should goose step behind George W. Bush like he and Ed Koch do.
More after the jump:
"I understand that you recently contacted my office requesting that I vote to censure President Bush," King, a Republican from Seaford, recently wrote ... "I disagree with you in every respect. You are morally, intellectually and politically wrong.
President Bush is an outstanding leader of outstanding integrity. Like Ed Koch,
I thank God every night that he is our president. You should do the same." - Pete King
Perhaps this assclown doesn't remember as far back as November 2004 when Bush lost both of the counties that King purports to represent. Now that Bush's poll numbers are tanking, it's time for Pete King to evaluate his alliances, but it sounds like he won't. Writing letters attacking what your political base is telling you is a clear indication that you no longer represent them and are living in your own special world.
Pete King is wrong, morally, intellectually and politically. The people of Long Island are skeptical and can see right through bullshit and this guy is transparent. Come November 2006, the people of the 3rd congressional district of Long Island will throw this bum out.
It's going to be tough work since he was elected last time on a 2-1 margin but I'm up for the challenge. All I need to do is change 35,262 more minds by November 2006. That shouldn't be as difficult as it sounds since King is already doing the heavy lifting with his letter writing campaign. I look forward to the day I can look at Pete King and tell him ( in Donald Trump's words ) "You're Fired!"
This unstable jerk has got to go.
