I keep checking ...
I keep checking Instapundit, Powerline and the rest of the gang, looking for some sort of message from the administration regarding the Rove/Plame allegations by Lawrence O'Connell on The McLaughlin Group.
Typically, any sort of Bush Administration scandal in the making is immediately accompanied by such a tsunami of spin from the rightwing blogs that readers don't know which way is up or down by the time the winds settle. The design here is to distract -- and it works.
I know that this is a slow weekend, but ...
Where are all the denials from Powerline? Where are the shrugging dismissals from Instapundit? Where is the misdirection from Michelle Malkin?
Why hasn't a message been put out via the RNC's vaunted "daily electronic communications memo," received and duly blogged by everyone from RedState to Glenn Reynolds?
Who's doing damage control on this and why haven't they put a plan in action?
The Silence of the Right here is really perplexing. I know it's going to be a slow blogging day -- the Saturday of Fourth of July weekend, but this was a DRUDGE flash, for God's sake. Doesn't that count for anything anymore?
Spooky, scary silence.
What do the right wing blogs have to say about this? And why haven't they said anything yet?
