He Was For the War Before He Was Against It
Ilyad Allawi who testified before Congress, how swell things were with Iraq, (promoting his candidate GWB) just before the 2004 election is now singing a different tune. He himself having recently lost the bid for Prime Minister of Iraq.
He now claims Americans have no clear vision, as written in the London Sunday Times.
My Words
What would a vision look like?
How about international co-operation.
How about letting Iraqi's share the profits of their own oil fields.
How about realizing that Iraqi's are proud to be Iraqis.
We desperately need Leadership in this country. Who will stand up to the call. I ask Republicans in leadership and Democrats in leadership to stop kow towing to the bullies in the White House.
Allaw'si words
"The problem is that the Americans have no vision and no clear policy on how to go about in Iraq," said Allawi to The Sunday Times adding "The policy should be of building national unity in Iraq. Without this we will most certainly slip into a civil war. We are practically in stage one of a civil war as we speak."
The Sunday Times said: "Allawi, a secular Shiite, said that Iraq had collapsed as a state and needed to be rebuilt. The only way forward, he said, was through 'national unity, the building of institutions, the economy and a firm but peaceful foreign relation policy". Unless these criteria were satisfied, 'the country will deteriorate'."
This is just as big a story as the Rove thing, but not quite as sexy.
Ex Candidate for Prime Minister of Iraq says Iraq is on the brink of Civil War. He was for the War before he was against it.
What a tragedy, that not only has this Administration divided our own country, it has also divided the people of Iraq, to the point of civil war.
We have got to get these slimey Texans out of the oil business by looking for a new vision with an Energy Policy that will take us into the future.......SAFELY!
