Sorry to quote something from drudge, but I found McCain's words chilling.
"Elections have consequences."
He was referring to the Supreme Court nomination and bascially said that THEY won so everyone else can just eat it.
Am I the only one who finds this chilling? I felt despair in the pit of my stomach when I read this today.
He also said NO FILIBUSTERS.
Almost half of all Americans who voted did not vote for Bushco. To McCain, we are not worth listening to. Winner take all....and take and take and take.
I have always been suspicious of him for supporting Bush after he and his family was defamed during the 2000 primary. Maybe they were part right...maybe he is a little nuts?
I know that politicians say more inflamatory things at fundraisers, but still, read it for yourself:
Sen. McCain [R-AZ] Strong Words On Supreme Ct Nomination at Dallas Fundraiser: 'During the campaign, President Bush said he will appoint judges who will strictly interpret the constitution... thinking anything else is either amnesia or ignorance... elections have consequences... whomever he nominates deserves an up or down vote and no filibuster... and an up or down vote is what we will have'...
