I don't know if there are a lot of *nix geeks who read dailykos, but
this post is making the rounds today, first at digg.com and later at boingboing.net. It's a recap of the (err, teh, I mean) war on terror, as viewed through a bourne shell. If you thought
rm -rf /bin/laden was funny, you're going to fall out of your chair when you read this:
ln -s /Bad_Guys/Al_Qaeda /middle_east/Iraq.
ln: cannot create /middle_east/Iraq/Al_Qaeda: Permission denied
$ su

# ln -s /Bad_Guys/Al_Qaeda /middle_east/Iraq.
# cd /middle_east/Iraq/Al_Qaeda
Al_Qaeda: does not exist
Two more "it's funny because it's true" excerpts, after the jump.
$ find / -name [Ww][Mm][Dd]

$ wall Propaganda.txt

And just in case you thought he couldn't top that . . .
$ cd /opt/USA
$ cp -Rp Democracy /middle_east/Iraq
$ cd /middle_east/Iraq/Democracy

See? It's funny because (sadly) it's true.
Update [2005-7-25 23:25:3 by CleverNickName]: I changed title to something more descriptive, and fixed the scoop formatting, which was replacing some of the funny with italics. Also, you can now
get this on a T-shirt or a poster, with a portion of the profits going to the Red Cross or Red Crescent.
