Radio and Records is
reporting that the The Joe Scarborough Show will be going off the air August 12th. Now is this the end of the show or just a hiatus? Westwood One, which owns the show, is saying that it is only a break until next year and that the show "will be relaunched in an even more competitive time period". The plans are for a return in January 2006.
However, its seems that being in the 10am to 1 pm EST time bracket is a pretty good time to be on. Unless the show is going to replace Rush or Hannity or O'Reilly, I don't see how Joe could be coming back in a "competitive time period" for a conservative talk show.
I think that Joe's radio career is done. He is not the fire-breathing conservative that they want out there. If anything, I think Joe is one conservative that is starting to come off the Kool-Aid and realizing how fucked this country is.
January 2006 is going to come and go and Joe will not be back on the radio.
