I was just told about a blog post by Gov. Schweitzer.
It is interesting, I am not sure if he has blogged much but Gov. Schweitzer has posted on Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack's new site, HeartlandPAC.org featuring a blog community
Here is what he wrote:
American energy independence is a hot topic nowadays, well it should be. America is in the grip of an oil addiction, particularly the foreign kind, and like a junky on heroin, we have become a slave to our habit and it has put us at the mercy of the pushers.
If this seems like strong language, let facts be submitted to a weary America: We import 58% of our oil. We have compromised our most scared American people to do business with states that sponsor terror, suppress democracy and treat women like second-class citizens. Our president had to endure the humiliation of begging the Saudis for mercy on the price of oil so that Americans can afford to drive, only to be rejected with impunity. And we have put our sons' and daughters' lives at risk to protect these very suppliers.
The blog has comments and I am sure knowing schweitzer he will get back to us. But I find it very interesting that that blog now has two Governors posting - plus trying to get grassroots policy ideas - not what I expected of Vilsack.
For Schweitzer lovers i found video of him talking about consultants on the site video of Schweitzer on the site.
