First Diary, so don't expect it to be good.
I've been thinking a lot about the price of oil, and how it affects everything we do.
The farther a product needs to travel, the more its cost is raised by increases in oil price.
Many products are petroleum based, so the very manufacture of those products are affected.
Travel becomes more expensive with higher oil prices, impacting business and general quality of life.
-more on the flip-
What is still unclear is the full impact of rising prices. We never really know the demand curve of oil. So far, its been pretty flat. People still buy the same amount of oil, but they cut back on "want" items. When will people cut back on oil, or "need" items? When will it be impossible to live a life comperable to the one we live now? When is too late to find another energy solution?
When are we totally screwed?
On a different note, what's a good post apocolyptic job? Right now, I'm thinking bee keeper.
