As many know by now, Bush's Iraq rationalization has shifted again, from WMD to "spreading freedom" to, well, he doesn't have anything now that civil war is imminent.
Now hitting Reuters, the Iraqi national security adviser is apparently warning of civil war if/when the Constitution fails to manifest, if a federalism agreement fails to manifest:
"Without federalism it means that no community interest has been addressed or fulfilled and therefore different communities will try to find and defend and fight for their rights," Mowaffaq al-Rubaie told Reuters in an interview.
"I am worried about that. Yes. Absolutely. With a civil war you can't say 'today we don't have a civil war, tomorrow a civil war erupted'. Civil war creeps into the country very gradually."
Add to that new Shia demands for autonomy right when the Iraqi "Constitution" is falling apart and you have an explosive situation. (To which Bush says ...uh well uh well..."this is democracy in action" or some crap)
Since Dem pols won't take a position on what to do, I will do it for them.
Way back when idiot-boy Bush took office, I sent 1 email and 1 email only saying "How to fix Israeli/ Palestinian conflict: Put up a big fence and get the fuck out of occupied territory. Take out Hamas leaders. Please pass that message along President Bush."
So, let this post serve as an open letter to our cute little prez: "Put up a big fence between Sunnis and Shiites and one between Kurds and Sunnis. Take out Sunni militant leaders. Get Shia out of Sunni territory."
Maybe I'm naive, but my prescription for Israel/ Palestine seems to be working...
