You know how the CIA is suppressing the new book, "Jawbreaker", by Gary Berntsen - the CIA officer who led the hunt for Bin Laden at Tora Bora in November 2001? Well, I found the court documents on Google, and this paragraph in particular
proves what the CIA is up to:
- Together with his draft manuscript Plaintiff also provided to the PRB 20 books and other printed references documenting the prior declassification or otherwise public domain status of all of the information set forth in his manuscript.
- To date Plaintiff has not received his manuscript from the PRB and is informed that all but three of his supporting references have been lost or misplaced by Defendant.
In other words, all the information in the book is in the public domain! The only reason Porter Goss is so opposed to the book is that Gary gives credibility and clarity to a story that has already been widely reported, but repeatedly denied by the Bush administration. As Berntsen has said of General Franks, "He was not on the ground out there. I was."
Remember, you can already pre-order the book. Help keep this story alive.
- Plaintiff also is informed that the Directorate of Operations (DO) has proposed a cumulative total of some 30 pages of redaction from his manuscript.
- Plaintiff has a contract with Random House requiring him to deliver his manuscript by June 17, 2005. The delivery of Plaintiff's manuscript to his publisher is now weeks overdue causing him financial loss and imperils its proposed October, 2005 publication date.
