So, ever since I read here on Kos that the American Legion was threatening war protesters -- what they said was, "The delegates vowed to use whatever means necessary to "ensure the united backing of the American people to support our troops and the global war on terrorism ..." I've been trying to get on the
American Legion Website to express my constitutionally-guaranteed right to my opinion, like, say Pat Robertson's right to call for the assassination of a
democratically-elected president of a foreign country.
That website seems to be down.
So, coincidence? Or convenience? (more after the fold ...)
Speaking of Robertson, it seems to me that reasonable people could also consider the American Legion's remarks a terrorist threat.
I also enjoyed their taking a page out of the BushCo handbook and making that connection between the war on terror and "Operation Radicalize the Muslim World by killing innocent Iraqi women and children." But give them a break, folks, I bet very few of them have any idea of how they've been bamboozled.
What would all these geezers (and c'mon, most of them are geezers) do if we started protesting in front of their local posts? Break a hip?
Yeah, I'm pissed, can you tell?
In fact, this is my very first Kos diary, that's how pissed I am.
Here's the poll ...
