Just on CNN, Anderson Cooper doing a phone interview with Trent Lott. I didn't catch everything, but what I did catch was sure interesting. Lott condescendingly explained that it took time to mobilize the national guard, and thats why it wasn't really a delayed response. I was tempted to send in a recent diary here speaking of military sitting idle because no one ordered them out. In something like this, national guard or active military, the need is there.
He also answered Cooper's question about delay by saying that only the press was asking this, not the people. Cooper came back strong on that one, as he certainly should. I can't wait to find a transcript!
