Puppet Bush's handlers are terrified of folks who use their own intelligence rather than blindly follow Bible-thumpers. No social control, you know?
I'm amazed that the writers of politics don't get it. The "Dr." Dobsons/American Taliban want chaos in Iraq, threats from China and Iran, and now the cherry on the sundae. The more suffering and death, the better. Keep us scared and all off balance so we'll be grateful for crumbs.
Demoralize R Us knows that a calm view of the gangsters in power will bring on revolution. Throw toys at us,give us a long list of must-buy stuff, and hope we'll play quietly and let them steal the country.
Drain the Treasury, pack the Supreme Count, make the press scared for their jobs and censor art. What's left? Martial/Bibical Law, stoopid. When Bush became president and his entourage consisted of tired old war horses and aging leeches like Cheney, I asked myself, "What's going on?" After stealing the election in 2000, Bushies badly needed a war or two to distract from an administration built on bogus quicksand. Easily-thwartable 9/11 calmed down the natives and bought them time. No surprise to me or others. They got their war(s).
So what's next to keep us in line after New Orleans gets thrown a few bottles of water? A "terrorist" dirty bomb? Will nature assist with more preventable disasters?
I watched two of the faces of America this week: (1) the New Orleans helpless, noble, sick and dying and starving and dehydrated faces; and (2) the pounting, defensive stone-face of (If he only had a brain, a heart and courage) Bush mouthing whatever platitudes Uncle Karl and Poppy reminded him to say.
Whatever hope we might have now to stop the hijacking of America, it is due in no small part to the genocide last week. The Question is: How do we thank old people dead on highway dividers and week-old babies dead from heat and no water for helping to save America?
