Well by now most have you have heard of the front page story on this week's
National Enquirer that Bush was drinking during the Katrina crisis. And how the Enquirer is actually pretty damn good at fact checking their asses so they don't get sued.
Is Bush drinking again? Or has he always been drinking?
On the flip is a transcript of a commercial break captured on satellite feed from Bush and Laura on the Larry King show in 2004, just before Bush was re-elected. Read it. Then watch it.
LARRY KING: They're recommending me for the debates. I hope you-
BUSH: Great! I remember the famous one we did in South Carolina. That was fun!
LARRY KING: Jeez what a night that was.
BUSH: That was fun! (SNIGGERS)
LAURA: That was the wild night when everyone was drinking!
BUSH: (VERY QUICKLY TRYING TO CUT HER OFF) No no no! This was the one where we had-
LAURA: With John Kerry?
BUSH: No this was the primary.
LAURA: The primary.
LARRY KING: McCain and uh...
BUSH: Keyes.
LARRY KING: Keyes!
BUSH: (TO LAURA) That was one of the two South Carolina debates. This was the big debate. He wasn't at the big debate, this was live debate...
LARRY KING: In the round...
BUSH: No yeah it was awesome! Off camera we can talk about it, I remember McCain got after Keyes-
LARRY KING: Oh yeah.
BUSH: Whoo!
Okay, now watch the video. It's pretty darn clear that Laura was being a little too chatty and realized it.
