Greetings, my left-leaning faithful! Welcome to
Blame it On Rio, your premiere source for freshly debunked right-wing lies. Not that fair and not particularly balanced all the time. But I still report, and you still get to decide because I'm just a nice girl.
Any time I feel like it, I'll be coming here to serve up a heaping plate of quotes from such <sarcasm>fine speakers</sarcasm> as Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and their many underlings. Occasionally I'll interrupt my crusade for honesty and common sense to remark about a more serious issue that is worthy of being remarked about. The rest of the time, for the aforementioned speakers, there'll be no mercy.
And don't worry, conservatives. Sometimes I'll have some fun reading for you, too. Liberals have the capacity to lie just the same as you -- just not nearly as often.
And now, the terms and conditions.

TERM AND CONDITION #2: My Opinions
Think of it as the FAQ page. Whenever you want to know what my stance on an issue is, come here first. It will likely be here.
RIO ON ABORTION: It's an individual decision that has the right to be made.
RIO ON HOMOSEXUALITY: It's an innate preference that cannot be altered. Sorry, Pat.
RIO ON HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE: It's a choice to be made ONLY by two gay people who love each other.
RIO ON AFFIRMATIVE ACTION: Hiring should be based on experience and ability, and NOTHING ELSE. Not race, not gender, nothing.
RIO ON GUN CONTROL: Guns don't kill people. Bullets kill people.
RIO ON BULLET CONTROL: Chris Rock, you're a fucking genius.
RIO ON FASCISM: Hate it.
RIO ON COMMUNISM: Hate it.
RIO ON SOCIALISM: Only for things that really matter (health care, education).
RIO ON CAPITALISM: In moderation. (Hear that, Wal-Mart?)
RIO ON THE DEATH PENALTY: Only for serial murderers and proven terrorists.
RIO ON WAR IN IRAQ: No.
RIO ON WAR IN AFGHANISTAN: In retrospect, no.
RIO ON WAR IN IRAN: Probably not. Just get rid of Ahmadinejad and his nukes, then get out.
RIO ON WAR IN NORTH KOREA: Replace "Ahmadinejad" with "Kim".
RIO ON LIBERATION: As long as you actually mean it.
TERM AND CONDITION #3: Commenting
As you may expect, comments of the nature described below will not be tolerated.
"holy fuck are you some kinda commie or terrorist? just get off my homeland and go to iran or canada cuz they love america haters. liberals like you should be nuked to hell where you belong so three headed dogs can chew on your dicks."
Subtle, huh? Basically, unless you have something constructive to say, I don't want to hear from you.
TERM AND CONDITION #4: All About Me
They call me Rio Madeira. I am a liberal. I do not live in the U.S. Done.
I suppose I've done enough for one day. I'll be back soon with my first flame. I can tell that we're going to get along famously.
