I'm curious. With over 55,OOO diarists and 500,000 visitors, apparently daily, and more than one diary about the Petition to
Fire Karl Rove...Why is it that only 3870 have signed it? Why hasn't that number been multiplied by 8 or 10 just from this site alone?
While the number of sites linking to the Petition is substantial only 3870 sigs. Yes, the action is primarily symbolic...yet so where ALL the physical demonstrations of the 60's/70's against the VN war! We had no right to Vote in Congress. We only had the right to make our voices heard.
This petition to
Fire Karl Rove is one simple easy quick method of doing the same thing...yet after 2 days...only 3870 signatures.
Is 'Practical Political' action simply beyond the average Kossack and Howling at the Moon that much more satisfying or have you simply gotten to the that you think a signature petition has no merit and isn't worth your time?
Honestly curious....no personal judgment involved.
It is actually a very important piece of information for me to have as I plan more 'Practical Politics' and political action items.
