Back in April, I ended up sending a contribution to Nick Lampson's campaign when I heard about the nasty way DeLay supporters treated Nick and his people at a press conference -- remember the one where they shoved that lady around?

Since then I've been on his email list and have contributed when I could. Today I received an email with his latest TV ad. Check it out:

I don't know who does Nick's PR, but the ad reminded me a lot of Lamont's upbeat messages. I was greatly cheered looking at the ads and wanted to share them with my fellow Kossaks (Kogs, rabid sheep, Kosians, whichever you prefer).
I'm a New Yorker, but since learning about the 50 state strategy, I've contributed to candidates from California to Florida to Texas and, of course, Lamont in Connecticut. It is a great feeling to be a part of people powered politics. The sense of empowerment and connection with the rest of the country is like a breath of fresh air. I want more than anything to send these netroots candidates to Washington, to clean up the foul and stale muck that has accumulated in our halls of government, and to return this country back to the people.
I checked (rather poorly, as my search skills leave much to be desired) and did not find this ad posted. If it has already appeared, I'll delete this diary.
But I figured this might cheer someone up. So cheers!
