Better late than never?
What a crop of teams I can't root for. The Angels are arch-enemies of my A's, as the Cards and Astros are to the Cubs. I hate the Yankees, and I'm over the Red Sox (who I find completely unlikeable).
The Padres victory over the Cubs in the 1984 playoffs ranks amongst my most traumatic childhood experiences, so I can never root for the Pads. And being a fan of the north-siders, I automatically hate the White Sox. I don't know if I could bear to have White Sox fans rub a World Series title in my face for the rest of my life (it's not like the Cubs will ever pick up one of those).
And the Braves are simply boring (miss the playoffs for once, already!).
So what does that leave me? I suppose rooting for the lesser evil each series. So go White Sox! Go Padres! Go Angels! Go Braves!
For this round only.
Absent my two teams, I wish Cleveland had made the playoffs. Now that's an exciting, young team.
