The downward trend of bush approval ratings may have just started accelerating into a collapse. According to Rasumssusen Reports (www.rasmussenreports.com) not only is Bush's approval rating near its low, it has moved there so quickly, it should mean even lower numbrs over the next two days. Rasumssen can be a good site to visit because, with a Republican bias, it keeps me from getting too enthusiastic, and its less fluid, because they use rolling 3 day average, except now the pace is quickening.
The past two days reflect one of the sharpest moves I have ever scene on Rasmussen, a decline of 4%. They report
Forty-four percent (44%) of American adults now approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. That's the lowest level of Approval for the President since September 20. It's just one point above the lowest level ever recorded by Rasmussen Reports.
Fifty-four percent (54%) Disapprove.
The President's performance in office earns Approval from 76% of Republicans. Through most of his Administration, the President' has enjoyed solid support from his own party with Approval Ratings among Republicans in the high 80s or low 90s.
This is not just another report showing low numbers for Bush, it means an extremely rapid decline, into uncharted territory when he was already near his term lows. Keep tuned
