It has been a while so I thought I would offer some updates on my take here in Minnesota's sixth district. From what I hear the sixth district chair is going to put together a forum for Elwyn Tinklenberg and Scott Mortensen to have a debate, or perhaps a town hall meeting of some kind. Not sure of the details as of yet.
Scott Mortensen "who I am currently backing" is once again showing he is not afraid to fight. He will be on a right wing radio show to debate the hosts and listeners on Sunday!!
Yep
http://www.racetotheright.com/ invited Scott on the show. I guess they want to get all the candidates for the sixth district on. It will be interesting to see if the other DFLer running for the seat, Tinklenberg goes on. From what I hear it will be available for podcast at a latter date.
Tinklenberg, who has been getting strong support from the dccc at this point will be having a fundraiser with Steny Hoyer, the US House Democratic Whip. Strange the reception is not even happening in the district, but oh well.
I also decided I will not be spending as much time trying to bash the other Democrat just because I like Mortensen. I do not agree with Tinklenberg on some issues but if he gets the endorsement I want fellow Democrats to feel excited about their candidate. I could back him if I saw a strong passion to fight for the people. I see it more in Scotty Mortensen.
In other news I heard Mike Hatch will announce he is running for Governor on October 24th. Patty Wetterling is causing a stir on some Republican blogs because he blog ad is up on "Liberal hates group sites like: Dailykos.com Democratic Underground.com, crooksandliars.com, ect." All of the Democratic candidate are leading the Republicn Mark Kennedy in the Washington Post poll is good news, but Kennedy out raised Amy Kloubchar this quarter in bad news.
I will have a more comprehensive post sometime next week. I hope I can tell you who is challenging Jim Ramstad? Someone better step up to the plate soon!
