Let's do it. I'm serious.
Kerry lost. I repeat, KERRY LOST. It's over. Okay, let's say Kerry wins the recount in Ohio. But, surely then the Rethugs will issue recounts in every other close state race. At the rate of current vote counting(do we even have all of the votes countred now?), this means the recounting could go very well into next Spring.
This would give the administration months to use propaganda to tarnish Kerry and the whole recount process. Even in the best case Kerry win, his hands would be tied by a very hostile House and Senate. But there is no way the Republicans would let it get even that far. Can you imagine all of the lawsuits that would be filed to challenge the recounts of the recounts? Plus where do you think all of those lawsuits are going to end up? Yes, the SOTUS. We all know how well that worked last time.
So, now, back to the glaring reality of another 4 years(at least) of the Bush administration.
So, let's see what has happened in the last few weeks alone:
-Asscrotch replaced by the only person who could have been worse. His heir, Gonzales, is famous for legal memos that crafted ways to "legally" torture people( even though some have said this violates the quaint Geneva Conventions).
-Only voice of reason in Cabinet(and even Powell was a total liar) leaves and his post is filled with a woman who ignored the memo titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US"
-US Military wages pointless(on many levels) battle with severe casualties(including a videotaped execution of an unarmed Iraqi in a mosque, a friggin Mosque!)
-House passes legislation that protects leaders' jobs even in the case of indictment.
-Purging of CIA of people with divergent political views.
And this is still November! Holy horse shit!
Speaking of horseshit, there's a recommended diary about Bush appointing a horse to the cabinet. Hell I wouldn't put it past him! I know it's in jest, but just how far will Bush and Company go before enough is enough?
Which laws will have to be enacted or repealed before we find ourselves in the Anne Frank situation(which was a great diary by the way)?
Personally, I think it's all over with. The DNC and democrats are impotent. Ole JamesB3 says screw em all. Why not? Fuck em. It's pretty much all over with anyway. The GOP's reach and power is not going away. I feel we are very much on the verge of a serious change reminiscent of early 30's Germany.
The only real question I see is do you openly revolt or do you flee? Or, of course, do you go to the Dark Side?
So I pose a poll question for you all who have sat through my rant here:
