Hi everyone, I am researching some information on the field of political science.
I've decided to either go for a communication or political science degree, but I'm leaning toward a political science major. However, I'm wary of what a poli. sci. major can do for me as far as being marketable. Does anyone know what you can do with a poli. sci. major besides becoming a politician, and any profession working in politics? And would any of these jobs (that you might additionally mention as well) be jobs that you can make a good amount of money or possibly a lot of money? And also would any of these jobs be jobs that you can easily get or something that is difficult to go for (basically availability)?
As well, does anyone know of any good schools where you can study political science in California? As well, does anyone know a good place to study poli. sci. with a public service or international emphasis in California?
Does anyone know what "Public service" and "public policy" means when it is referring to a political science major?
Does anyone know how much a political campaign strategist/manager (such as James Carville) would make? And if it is hard to become one?
As well, how much do politicians make (ranging from state rep. to gov. to rep. to senator to president to cabinet officer, etc.)? And do they make a good amount of money and/or do they make a lot of money?
As well, does anybody know a good profession regarding political science that would be good for you to be able to be with your family most of the time?
And does anyone know what you study during your time you go for a communication degree? Thanks.
Sorry for the long list, you don't have to answer every question. And if anyone can send any good links that would be helpful, thanks.
