Loudoun Times-Mirror endorses Tim Kaine.
What makes this significant is the fact that the Loudoun Times-Mirror is the largest paper in the county and it leads very conservative.
Loudoun is located in Northern Virginia but it is a very red county compared to the rest of the DC area. The county also has a weird dichotomy, it's western part is very rural and the eastern part is very tech industry heavy, AOL is located there.
More after the jump.
The editorial reads: Choice is Clear: Kaine. In the October 26th issue, the editorial also goes on to endorse three other Virginia races, Lieutenant governor, Attorney general, and a House of Delegates seat. In these races, the paper endorses the Democrat who is running in each of these races.
One comment (of many) that is really interesting is about the VA House of Delegates seat:
"When a Republican political action committee makes a donation to Democrat David Poisson against incumbent Republican Del. Dick Black, we need no further convincing. And we trust you won't either."
I have lived here for 7 years now and have never seen this before.
