I believe there is another, easier way to allow Dean's core values to live.
We can simply march down to our local Democratic Party meetings in a large group and demand: the end to raising special interest money, universal healthcare, a foriegn policy which is based on multinational agreements not antagonism, and a balanced budget.
This may sound like I am making a speach - and there is a lot of passionate speaches being made for Dean these days - but hear me out. The logic is simple: The Black Mountain Meetup has 15 hardcore members. If we all went to the Black Mountain Democrats, which has 25 members, we would run the agenda. Now if all 40 of us went to Buncombe County's Democratic meetings, and Cecil's Asheville Dean supporters also showed up, the Buncombe County Democrats would be run by Dean supporters.
Dean's first gift has been to get hundred of thousands of people involved in politics. His second gift was to lose his bid for presidency. We can no longer meet between ourselves and pat each other on the back. We have to get out and reshape American politics, one person at a time, one organization at a time.
Now, Cecil, if you want to take over Buncombe County, shoot me an email, and lets get it on.
