As we all know, the Bush administration has claimed that those here at home who advocate a phased withdrawal from Iraq endanger our troops by emboldening our insurgent enemies.
The Bushies (and their conservative mouthpieces) insinuate that advocating such a plan for Iraq is unAmerican and unpatriotic.
So how does their criticism of people like Feingold, Kerry and others who've advocated withdrawal square with this?
Talabani sees timetable for troop exit in 2006

ROME (Reuters) - Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said on Saturday that it may be possible to reach an agreement by the end of 2006 on the withdrawal of foreign troops from his country.
...
"We are looking forward to the day we can say goodbye to the forces of the coalition," he said. "If things continue as they are I think by the end of 2006 we can discuss the end of the presence of foreign troops."
Granted, Talabani isn't setting hard dates for withdrawal, but by implying that withdrawal could start by the end of 2006, isn't the Iraqi President encouraging the insurgency, as defined by the rhetoric of Bush and his wacky boot lickers like Limbaugh, Hannity and O'Reilly?
Will the Bush administration now jump all over Talabani and claim he is endangering our troops?
Yeah, yeah, I know... The hypocrisy of this crew is an endless abyss.
Still, I'd love to hear how our Fearless Leader® can claim that what Talabini said is any different from any number of Democrats and foreign policy hands from his own party who advocate just such a plan.
