Why is everybody so concerned about this so-called "argument" we're supposedly getting hit with right now?
It's no argument. (Maybe for really stupid people. Which is, let's face it, the GOP's base.)
Of COURSE they didn't see the same intel as the president, becauase they were spoon-fed the "intelligence" by the administration.
The fact of the matter is Bush lied to Congress. And he lied to the American people. Congress gave him the benefit of the doubt and voted authorization. The American people gave him the benefit of the doubt, too.
Edwards had the right idea -- FINALLY a Dem who gets it -- admitting that it was a mistake, that they were misled.
If the Dems in Congress had any sense to them, they would ALL band together and do this.
But we still have too many DINOS who still just don't get it.
I say fine. Let the DINOS sink with the ship.
My main point is this: The game is rigged.
The MSM is NOT gonna let anyone from our side get on one of their shows and submit a compelling and damning argument against the paid pit-bulls of the right-wing.
Ain't gonna happen. Get used to it. Any fight that we see on any of the cable "news" shows is gonna be RIGGED.
The MSM is complicit with them and has been for quite some time. GE, who owns NBC and MSNBC said in their 2003 report that the Iraq war was going to be worth 9 billion bucks to their bottom line.
So just turn the corporate cable "news" off and relax.
Bush's numbers ain't going anywhere but down. The trust is broken, and once trust is broken, so's the relationship. The American people are breaking up with Bush. They're done with him. They won't believe anything he says now.
Really the only thing worth talking about at this juncture is how do we keep Bushco from doing any more damage before he has to leave in 2009, and how in the hell can we get them out before their term has expired?
Preferably into a nice cozy jail cell.
