There were about 50 of us there. When I arrived, early, I was a little concerned that no one would show, but they did, & kept coming in even after it had got going. Although we had around 80-90 very noisy attendees last time, this was a quite respectable showing, all things considered.
Tuesday night seems an eternity ago.
Now we buckle down and do what has to be done to get as many votes for DEAN in our little part of Los Angeles as possible. And to phone bank for other parts of the country where voting will be going on before 3/2--
The media flavor of the week phenom must be resisted, but swimming against the stream is not easy.
At least folks at the office are not giving me a hard time about being a Dean supporter. I think--I know-- a lot of them are, too. Maybe not as active as me, but they sure as hell can't abide the thought of 4 more years of Shrubbery !
