No, it wasn't the blogs. As guilty as they are of oh so many sins. It was greed. Good old fashioned greed.

There has just been so much news lately that the fact that Conrad Black might be headed for prison has gone fairly unnoticed.  Even though he has recently been one of the richest and most powerful newspaper owners in the world. And not only that, being a Canadian, he has been doing it all from right next door.

You thought Patrick Fitzgerald had his hands full with Scooter? Well, that's not all he's been doing. Seems, Black and some cronies did some serious lying to bilk investors of millions. And when the lying was discovered, did some more lying. So, if you happen to be a mogul of some sort, may I offer you some advice?

Don't mess with investors.

The public? o.k. Ordinary citizens, fair game. Women and children? No problem. Poor men? O fucking K.

Yes folks, totally under the radar the demise of Conrad Black has happened. A  once powerful man who incurred the wrath of many a progressive might be finding a new home in the slammer. Let's hope so.

The wicked warlock of the north has soiled himself with a bucket of water and gone all shrivley. He's melting, he's melting! Patrick, you've killed him..

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

  •  After all, he is Canadian... (none)
But you can bet your blind trust that the neocons sure know who Conrad Black is. Ask Richard Perle, ask George Will - Mr. Black is a good friend to all things far right in the ol' US of A.
We should focus in on Black and his ilk instead of endless diaries spouting off on Scott McClellan and other aparatchnik blowhards. They are out in public to run interference for the men behind the curtain, like Black.

    Follow the money...

    •  He's not Canadian. (none)
He surrendered his citizenship in order to be knighted by the Queen of England. He's now 'Baron Black of Crossharbour'... hopefully they'll rightfully strip him of his title and lands as is appropriate for this scum sucking maggot.
