The rally in Crawford on Saturday, Nov. 26 is part of almost a week of activities in which Cindy Sheehan and other military families, veterans and activists will take part to keep the pressure on the Bush Administration to get out of Iraq.
Please join us, in person or in spirit, in this regathering of the community that was built by patriots speaking truth to power. If you are coming, please let us know (by phone or email) if you will be there for our meal on Thursday (so we can judge the food situation) and whether you can volunteer some time to help the organizers. If you can't come, can you send some support funds? You don't operate an ad hoc "city" on just good vibes, you know! Either way, please spread the word by sharing our call to action (below) with your contacts.
The speakers at the events will include Cindy Sheehan, Juan Torres and Bill Mitchell of Gold Star Families for Peace, Dick Underhill and Eliot Adams of Veterans for Peace, Charlie Anderson of Iraq Veterans Against the War, and Amy Branham.

Below is our latest call to action:
Holiday (Re)Gathering at Camp Casey, Crawford Texas - Nov. 22-27, 2005
Three months ago, you were part of an historic event -- the gathering of patriotic Americans in Crawford, Texas, sparked by Cindy Sheehan who was determined to hold President Bush accountable for the Iraq War and disastrous policies across the board that have left our country weaker, not stronger. Camp Casey, as the place was named to honor Cindy's son killed in that war, has become a rallying cry across the country, indeed across the world, by those who seek freedom, peace and justice for all.
Some of you were physically present, others provided critical support with funding and infrastructure for the creation of an amazing impromptu community of protesters that changed the tone and direction of the national debate about the war.
The collective response by Camp Casey "alumni" to the hurricanes in the Gulf States during the final days in Crawford and afterwords, showed clearly that a real family of souls had developed, and that this community, working together, can help this country return to its best nature.
Next week, Cindy Sheehan, other military families, veterans and activists will again come to Crawford to ask President Bush to answer for himself and his administration. We invite you to participate again, in whatever way you can, and help to continue to bring pressure on those who dishonor our country and its principles with immoral and inhumane policies and practices.
Several days of action in Crawford and Camp Casey will begin with civil disobedience to protest the enactment of anti-free speech ordinances by McLennan County. As the restrictions only apply to the area around Camp Casey, these laws are clearly an extension of the policy of stiffling dissent by our governmental bodies, and must be challenged and overturned.
On Thursday we will share a simple Iraqi meal, joining in solidarity with those who suffer most from our country's actions. In lieu of the traditional American Thanksgiving dinner, over the course of the action, we will collect non-persishable food and supplies for the hurricane victims who have been left with so little, and receive so little protection and support from their government.
A Camp Casey memorial garden will be dedicated on Friday at the Crawford Peace House, and on Saturday, a protest march and rally will held, to send a clear message to end the war, and support our troops by getting them out of that American-made and American-spurred target zone. Wrapping up our action, we will have an interfaith service on Sunday at Camp Casey.
We hope you can join Gold Star Families for Peace, the Crawford Peace House, Veterans for Peace, Iraq Veterans Against the War, and Code Pink for this renewal of our call for peace. We also are faithful that, as occured in August, your generous support will allow organizers to provide for the needs of those who are present and the meet the logistical requirements of such an important event.
