This is funny. The freepers are, as usual, angry that President Bush did NOT bomb Al Jazeera HQ in Qatar.
I'm sure FDR would have tried to take out Tokyo Rose.
What's wrong with bombing the enemy's propaganda outlet? ~ bikepacker67
Nevermind that Tokyo Rose was an AMERICAN!
More insanity below.
This person apparently isn't sure where they stand...kinda like when Bush needed to go potty.
I dont have a problem with this?
They (Al-Bundy-reeza) have all too often compromised operational security within the region and are a source of violent propaganda for all that's evil in the world. ~ in hoc signo vinces
Now, not only is a civilian news service in another country a legitimate target, so are AMERICAN news services!
Al Jazeera is a legitimate target and should be neutralized... and so should their allies in the American media. ~ Lexington Green
At least one freeper is disgrundled and think the President has made mistakes, of course those mistakes include not bombing Qatar.
Yeah one of his many mistakes in the prosecution of this war. ~ samadams2000
Here's a sane freeper who is still delusional about the facts that the DSM have never been claimed to be fraudulent outside of wingut websites and media.
Such a document is clearly a fake. The reason Bush would not have taken out al Jazeera is that would have meant he was bombing Qatar. You don't bomb allies. You particularly don't bomb allies when they are letting you direct your theatre in the war from their territory. If they allow such a network to exist, that is a condition you must deal with.
Yes FDR might have taken out Tokyo Rose in WWII, but not if Tokyo Rose was an Australian women legally broadcasting from Australia. FDR would have left that up to Australia, just as Bush left the status of al=Jazzera up to Qatar.
So again clearly this is another fake document or false notes case like the DSM. ~ JLS
Now for the racist Freeper
"Al Jazeera is a legitimate target and should be neutralized... and so should their allies in the American media." Additionally, medina, mecca, tehran, damacus, becca valley... I'm jsut getting warmed up. Check out my tag line.~ USS Alaska (Nuke the terrorist savages - In Honor of Standing Wolf)
A Kossak must have posted and not been immediately banned. I'll include the entire timestamp for posterity.
The biggest insight comes from his former roommate and I've had countless conversations with him over the years, long before George ran for the Presidency.
My biggest insight comes from the fact that he has presided over the biggest, most expensive government expansion in 40 years and has invaded a sovereign country that posed no threat to us at the expense of 2,000 American lives and tens of thousands of Iraqi lives. I guess it's nice to know that he's above making sarcastic comments in private conversation. He is indeed a man of true character. ~ 44 posted on 11/22/2005 10:35:07 AM PST by sheltonmac (QUIS CUSTODIET IPSOS CUSTODES)
These are from another thread dealing with the same thing. No commentary this time, just quotes and usernames.
I have a problem with Al Jazeera's continued bad attitude and the fact that the Emir of Qatar hasn't had the top editors liquidated yet. I live in Europe and Al Jazeera is taken too seriously here. If leaving it alone is supposed to be part of a higher strategy I don't understand...then I wish someone would explain it all to me. ~ GermanBusiness
Why, during wartime operations, would you not bomb the enemies primary propagandist and media machine that fuels and inspires the terrorists? I want a congressional investigation into why Al-jazeera was not bombed, while our soldiers bear the brunt of their media distortions. ~ monkeybrau
