Friends of Melbourne man Nguyen Tuong Van have begun saying their final goodbyes to the 25-year-old as he awaits execution on December 2.
The Age reported three women who travelled to Singapore to meet with the convicted drug smuggler wept in Changi prison and kissed him goodbye by pressing their lips to security glass separating him from visitors.

The gallows are positioned just a short walk from Nguyen's small cell on death row.
He will be handcuffed as he is led to his death.
The killing is handled by Darshan Singh.
Singh will have weighed Nguyen to calculate the exact length of rope needed to break his neck after dropping him through the trapdoor.
Precision is vital: too long a drop will otherwise result in Nguyen being decapitated.
The snapped neck and tight noose trigger comatose asphyxia, a lack of oxygen while unconscious. Complete death takes about a quarter of an hour.
