The TSA have announced that they are to revise the carry-on restrictions at US airports. Some items previously banned from carry on bags are now to be allowed.
Among the previously banned items were scissors. Under the revised rules regarding carry on bags and items, scissors will now be allowed in carry on baggage. The reasoning behind this is that the TSA now believe such items are unlikely to be used in a terrorist attack. Obviously there has been a complete and total onset of amnesia at the TSA and the Department of Homeland Security.
By adopting such reasoning, they are also insinuating that box cutters would be unlikely to be used in any attack. Forgive my ignorance but wasn't the use of such 'harmless' items part of the resason the 19 hijackers were able to take over 4 aircraft on September 11th.
Once again, this bunch of incompetent buffoons and political hacks are slowly getting the public (gullible to the core) to believe that the greatest danger to commercial aircraft is through explosive devices. Yes, commercial cargo is subject to such dangers but, and I hate to remind you, the 19 hijackers didn't use explosives. The greatest danger back on 9/11 came from carry on items, not explosives you bunch of morons! To downgrade the list of banned items in hand luggage is like giving a green light to hijackers once again. This administration is not at all concerned about public safety in terms of commerical flight!
Have we learnt absolutely nothing from any of this!
