In a story on the Bush/Cheney schism,
Insight on the News states that Cheney will not resign unless he joins Libbey in the unemployment line. The report goes on to make the following statement about Rumsfeld:
Bush takes Cheney out of the loop on national security
"Mr. Bush is not expected to replace Mr. Cheney unless the vice president follows the fate of his former chief of staff. The sources also said Mr. Rumsfeld is expected to remain in his post until U.S. troops are withdrawn from Iraq."
Well, it looks like we're stuck with Rummy for a very long time. (Unless of course Bush instates a "No Defense Secretary Left Behind" law).
