Yesterday on C-Span I saw a speech Bill Moyers made at George Washington University at an event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the National Security Archive. It was a fantastic speech about secrecy in government; freedom of information; the failure of the mainstream media to aggressively investigate what is being done by goverment officials in our name and with our tax dollars. He forcefully spelled out Kenneth Tomlinson's corruption and politicization of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, paticularly as it relates to the secret campaign by Tomlinson, Rove and Paul Gigot (editorial page editor of the Wall Street Jounal) to trash Moyer's PBS program "Now."
Moyers' speech was a brillian indictment of the Bush regime's efforts to abolish the concept transparency in goverment and curtail freedom of the press and free speech. And he quoted DailyKos!! It doesn't get any better than that.
I don't remember the specific issue that Moyers was discussing when he cited DailyKos. If you saw the broadcast and remember that part of the speech, please reply with details on that point.
