This is a moving account of the execution of Stanley "Tookie" Williams and a study on the enigma of observation. On the 12/13 Democracy Now! a series of reporters give their perspectives on the execution of Tookie Williams. I'm listening to it now as I write.
One reporter talks about the executioners. Another about the vicitm. Yet another talks about supporters of Stanley Williams and family members of the victim of his alleged crime. I hope people can find a peaceful way to protest, but I fear that California will burn for this.
Another must-see brought to you by Amy and the DemocracyNow team. Amy has Laryngitis. I worry about her health. She broadcast continually throughout the downing of the twin towers and the burning aftermath. Much of the time she had a bad cough. Truly a warrior of truth.
Thanks Amy, Goodbye Tookie, may we find peace in your passing.
I must add. I was truly moved. As horrible as his alleged crimes were, they remain alleged and nothing has been gained by another death.
There is further conversations with Angela Davis, Jesse Jackson and a spokesperson of the NAACP.
If you are not watching Democracy Now every day. You are out of the loop.
